Paris: Fournier, 1845. A fine copy of this delightful Grandville work, preserved in the scarce publisher's polychrome binding. While this book lacks the surreal qualities of Un Autre Monde, the presence of a substantial number of anthropomorphic illustrations in the manner of those which had appeared in Scenes de la vie privee et public des animaux, elevate it above the typical "romantique" book, and make it a worthy addition to the Grandville oeuvre.
