Francis Wayland III, was son of the progressive Brown University president of the same name. Wayland served terms as both the probate judge and the Lieutenant Governor of Connecticut before becoming a professor, and later dean, at Yale Law School.

Two of the four order sheets are filled in with customer names and addresses, the last unused sheet torn. Two other sheets have been ripped out previously and remnants remain at gutter.
