Description
New York: Harpers, 1922. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Near Fine/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Beautiful First Edition, likely 2nd printing with F-W, (June, 1922), on CP, First Printing. Original red cloth with titles stamped in gold on cover and spine. Square, tight and clean throughout with some pulling at the spine ends and a hint of wear at the tips. top of a few spots on the title page and light offsetting to the paste-downs and end-papers. Very pretty unclipped wrapper,( $2.00), has some chipping to the crown and fairly moderate soiling to the white panels. Spine lightly toned. A short closed tear on the rear panel. Still a bright copy and very well-preserved for an almost 100 year-old dust-wrapper. Very uncommon. A sharp collectable copy with the scarce DJ.
