Original yellow wrappers, top corner stained. Light pencil gift inscription on the title page "John W. Poole from Miss Jane Hutting(?)". § Redfield's Toy Books third series, No. 5. Justus Starr Redfield was located at 137 Nassau St. (i.e., Clinton Hall), between 1843 and 1852. At the foot of the lower wrapper the full series is announced: "Just published, Redfield's Toy Books, four series of twelve books each, beautifully illustrated, price, one, two, four, and six cents.
