Madrid: Antonio Marin, 1765. 8vo, pp. [40], 432; text in double column; engraved vignette title page, engraved genealogical plate, woodcut initials and ornaments; very good, sound copy in contemporary limp vellum, manuscript title on spine. Henrique Florez (1702-1773) was a Spanish historian. He was professor of theology at the University of Alcala, where he published Cursus theologiae in five volumes (1732–1738) after which he devoted himself to historical studies. Of these the first was his Clavis Historiae which appeared in 1743, and passed through many editions. Palau 92698.
