Description
Memphis, TN: Johnson & Willins, Jobbers and Receivers in Fruits, Nuts and Produce, 1901. Very good. First edition; 8 1/2 x 5 1/2; pp. [4]; pink stock, printed in black; double fold lines with thin cuts to fore-edge; a bit of age-toning; in about very good condition. A well-appointed and quite-humorous, the pamphlet listed the wares of Johnson & Willins, coupled with wise-crack remarks on their competition, including the line: "Lemons are the same old seven and six - maybe some "CHEAPEE BOMFOOZLER" will "cut der price," at the same time "cut der quality - fancy, fancy packed..." Among the products described were various candies and crackers, dried fruits and cheese, sundries, and so on.
