Description
[Kyoto, Japan]: [Ryoanji Temple], 1970. Loose_leaf. Very good. Loose_leaf. 12" X 8". Printed folder with printed insert in Japanese and English and eight 7 1/2" X 10 1/2" color photographs of Ryoanji Temple. Mild wear to folder, with light creasing to corners and mild dust soiling. Pictures show slight edgewear, else fine. A very nice keepsake honoring Ry an-ji Temple, a Zen temple and UNESCO World Heritage Site in Kyoto, Japan, belonging to the My shin-ji school of the Rinzai branch of Zen Buddhism. The Ry an-ji garden is famed for being one of the best surviving examples of kare-sansui in the world.
