Description
New York: Susan Horowitz, 1993. Very good. 10¾" x 8¼". Wrappers. pp. 176. Very good minus with moderate wear and some creasing to wrappers. The theme this year was a call to action addressed to anyone, not just members of the LGBTQ community, who were supportive of the movement: "Outlaw Outrage Outright Outspoken Outrageous Outstanding." These words were meant to remind others that, "coming out...is a continual process that will engage us our entire lives...we have never had to fight harder for our right to exist." Several articles suggested where the fights were most dire, such as the fight against the religious right in several states, the fight to boycott Colorado for passing an amendment that could take away civil rights protections of gays, and the fight to lift the ban against gays in the military. A list of activist organizations that fight right wing conservatives also complemented this section. In addition to the usual list of resources and programs was a preview to upcoming events for 1994, the 25th Anniversary of Stonewall. OCLC locates one copy of this year.
