About very good.
Description
Stuttgart, Ar: The Free Press, 1910. About very good.. Illustrated broadside and map, 15.5 x 10.25 inches. Old folds, some starting to separate along outer fold lines, minor toning and soiling. A few pencil and ink notations. An unrecorded promotional real estate and timber map of Arkansas County, Arkansas, illustrated with two photographs. Arkansas County is located in the southeast delta region of the state, extending northwest from the confluence of the Arkansas and White rivers. The present map of the county is partially colored in green, and has two small notations regarding tracts of land in the southwestern portion of the county and a four-line notation in pencil in the right margin. The larger of the two photographs pictures four farmers on horse-powered tractors "Cutting Rice on Grand Prairie Near Stuttgart, Arkansas." This photograph, which features actual horse power and not mechanized farm equipment likely dates the broadside to the first decade of the 20th century, if not earlier. The smaller photograph of a tree-fronted house is titled, "Model Grand Prairie Home." The broadside was published by The Free Press, the local Stuttgart newspaper that ran from 1889 until 1924. "The timber industry in Arkansas developed in all directions after the Civil War. The abundant forests of the state made it possible over the years to produce lumber, kraft paper, fine paper, newsprint, chemicals, charcoal, and many other products. The industry’s development depended first upon the availability of abundant forests. From Little Rock (Pulaski County) in central Arkansas to the north, west, and south are forests and marketable timber. To the east is the Delta, where hardwood grows in the swamps and river bottoms" - Encyclopedia of Arkansas online. No copies in OCLC or Rare Book Hub.

Description
New York: Nyehaus, 2012. Some scuffing and creasing to recto; better than very good. Uncommon.. Oversized leaflet (11 x 17 in.), printed recto/verso to heavy stock, from Mike Kelley's final exhibition; a two-person show with Richard Prince at Tim Nye's Nyehaus in Chelsea (Jan 12 - Jan. 28, 2012). As per the gallerist's statement: "It is an explosive moment when gesture, historical timing, mind blowing subtle observation and, of course, poetic necromancy come together in a perfect brew. The brain warms and bubbles and our eyes become devout conspirators." The show was extended through February following Kelley's suicide on January 31.

Description
S. l.: By the author, 1930. Very good. Small broadside, n. d. (1930s); 11 1/2 x 8; white stock, illustrated with a photograph and ruled with a gilt border; signed by the author in blue ink in the lower right corner; small punctures to top and bottom edges from previously being hung with thumb tacks, else minor wear; in very good condition. A beautiful, unrecorded tribute to one of Northern California's natural wonders, the latter now gone, the broadside contained a what-appears-to-be an original poem in honor of and an image of Mammoth Hooker Oak near Chico. Over a hundred feet tall, the tree's age had been estimated at a thousand years, when it fell in 1977, though it was discovered it was in fact two trees, at about half that age each, which had grown into one. The author, Andreas Petersen Sontum (1875 - 1958) appears to have been a Danish-American resident of Petaluma, a prominent citizen and an active member of the Lutheran Church community.
