Neat ownership stamp on the front free endpaper else a fine copy. The dustwrapper is not clipped. The dustwrapper is in fine conditon and without the Newbury Award sticker. Illustrated throughout in black and white by Bernstein. A fine copy in a fine dustwrapper. The story centers around Mrs. Frisby's efforts to move her family before the farmer's plow arrives, and her encounters with the rats, who have gained human-like intelligence through NIMH's experiments. O'Brien's daughter, Jane Leslie Conly, later penned two sequels after her father's death in 1973, creating a NIMH trilogy.
