Description
Salt Lake City, 1973. First Edition. 81pp. Quarto [28 cm] Comb-bound blue printed wrappers. Better than very good. Self-published history of the much beloved, and now defunct, Manti Mormon Miracle Pageant, colloquially known as the 'Manti Pageant'. The Pageant was a live action telling of the Book of Mormon and the founding of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on the grounds of the Manti Temple. At its height, 15,000 people a night (over two weeks - usually in June) would watch the lavish production. I attended once and it was really bonkers.
