Description
1897. GARRISON, William Lloyd, Jr. 1 page Autograph Letter Signed and dated September 25, 1897. Addressed to Mrs. Amory. Son of the famed abolitionist, Garrison Jr. continued in his father's footsteps as both an abolition and suffrage activist. In this letter, Garrison tells his female correspondent that he "will reserve that evening [December 29th] for Wellesley. I wish I could follow the anti-suffrage speaker and take up some of his points, for I am sure he will not attempt to meet mine." An important letter by a key women suffrage ally.
