A fine unopened copy in publisher’s unprinted near fine glassine dust jacket lightly tanned on the spine. Publisher’s numbered slip laid into the book matching the limitation number on verso of title page. Jacques Verges was a Siamese-born French lawyer, writer, and political activist best known for his defense of FLN militants during the Algerian War of Independence. During World War II, he fought in the anti-Nazi resistance and later served as a defense lawyer for Klaus Barbie, Carlos the Jackal, and leaders of the Khmer Rouge. An attractive, unopened copy.

San Francisco-based partial epistolary novel in which the main character turns to sex work while her male lover is in prison in San Quentin.
