Divided into two volumes, of which the first focuses on the summer competitions in Berlin and the second focuses on the winter events in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Profusely illustrated with black-and-white (and a few color) tipped-in photographs of various sporting events, international athletes, and members of the Nazi regime. Volume 1 features a color foldout map tipped-in at the rear. An extensive document of two politically fraught and historically significant Olympic Games, which enabled Adolf Hitler and Joseph Goebbels to disseminate the concept of the "master race" and showcase products of German efficiency.
