n.p.: Negro Who's Who in California Publishing Co, 1948. Hardcover. Very Good. numerous small photos, index, 133p. Original red cloth. 29cm. Backstrip scuffed (with some loss of color) along edges. Modest cover warping. No Jacket. This "Who's Who" has entries divided into seven general categories (Pioneers, Church and Pulpit, Professions, Business and Industry, Art and Music, Civic and Social, and In Memorium [sic]. Entries are not alphabetized within these categories. There are around 500 entries, of which about 440 are for individuals and the rest of are fraternal organizations, businesses, churches, etc. It is unclear what criteria was used for inclusion. No further editions appear to have been published. Wynn and Roy were African Americans. Wynn is identified as a World War I veteran, who had attended Bishop College and was working in public relations. Roy's entry describes him as born in Montana, the first African American graduate (1921) from the University of Utah, and a World War II veteran.
