Description
Los Angeles [Lunenburg, Vermont]: The Symposium Press [printed at The Stinehour Press], 1979. Limited Edition. Wraps. Fine. Letter I of those lettered A to AA, of a total edition of 300 copies, quarto size, 27 pp., signed by Turner Cassity and Charles Gullans. American playwright and poet Allen Turner Cassity (1929-2009) produced this collection of poems with the Symposium Press; many of the poems seem to allude to his time spent in Puerto Rico where he was stationed from 1952 to 1954, having been drafted into the US Army. They are, however, decidedly non-military and contain a smooth rhythm with his observations of the world he saw around him. ___DESCRIPTION: Green paper wraps, black lettering on the front wrap, title page in green and black, fore- and bottom edges uncut; quarto size (10.25" by 7.25"), pagination: [1-6] 7-25 [26-27], letter I of those lettered A to AA, of a total edition of 300 copies, signed by Turner Cassity and Charles Gullans on the colophon. ___CONDITION: Volume is fine, with a strong, square text block, the interior is clean and bright, and entirely free of prior owner markings; the wraps are clean but for a few light marks on the front wrap, light toning to the top edge, and small creases to the fore-edge, else fine. ___POSTAGE:  International customers, please note that additional postage may apply as the standard does not always cover costs; please inquire for details. ___Swan's Fine Books is pleased to be a member of the ABAA, ILAB, and IOBA and we stand behind every book we sell.
