Covers somewhat soiled and has some creasing and a short tear. Cover title: Spurs A.R.D. #328# Camp Bowie Fort Worth Texas. Two pages are devoted to Field Remount Squadron No. 352, a segregated unit for African Americans which is described as having been organized on Nov. 2, 1918 at Camp Joseph E. Johnston in Florida and arrived at Camp Bowie for duty with Auxiliary Remount Depot No. 328 on January 23, 1919. It was one of the few African American Remount units organized for overseas duty but the Armistice ending the war on Nov. 11, 1918 caused the unit to be kept in the United States for service at domestic Remount Depots.
