[New Jersey], ca 1910. Original suede binding.. Very good; suede powdering.. Small 4to blank notebook of heavy white paper stock with photographs, letters, memorabilia laid in A sentimental assemblage of varied material related to the birth and childhood of a daughter for this upper middle class family. The notebook is blank with the exception of an inserted, colored, calligraphic title that signals the intention. Instead the book has acted as a "receiver" for inserted memorabilia relating to the child and the family. Summers on the Cape, a visit to the children's matinee where the Mad Tea Party from Alice in Wonderland was presented (Dec., 1909) - docketed by mother who recorded it as the baby's first outing - to the charming, well executed, watercolor seating cards for Thanksgiving (partial contents list). The family once resided in Short Hills, NJ.
