Description
London: Kegan Paul, Trench Trubner & Co, 1928. Cloth. Very Good +/Very Good. The 1928 1st UK edition, in its uncommon dustjacket. Solid and VG+, with just a touch of very light discoloration along the edges and light abrading at the rear panel (where a bookpate had been removed). And in a bright, VG dustjacket, with creasing and minor chipping to the front panel edges and one sizable chip (2" x 2") along the rear panel's top-edge, as well as light creasing and one small closed tear to its lower-edge. Still though, very presentable and uncommon as such. Octavo, seminal collection of 12 lectures by John B. Watson advancing his theories of "Behaviorism", which would come to exert great influence on early 20th century psychology.

Description
Cambridge, MA: Office of Admissions, MIT, 1954. Letters. Very Good +. A framed April 29, 1954 1 pg. TLS (typed letter signed), addressed to John Desmond, a Senior at the Hotchkiss School in Lakevile, Ct., informing him that he's been accepted to MIT for enrollment in the Freshman class the upcoming school year. The 8 1/2" x 11" letter is of course on official Office of Admission (MIT) stationary and is clean and bright --with no smudging of any kind-- and signed by B. Alden Thresher, the Director of Admissions. The letter had once been folded vertically into thirds and horizontally into halves, leaving some creasing, but still very presentable and appealing. Vintage black wooden frame nicely highlights this charming piece of Americana.
