Description
Delhi, NY: Express Printery, 1913. First Edition. Near fine. Presumed first edition, n. d. (ca 1913); 7 1/2 x 5 1/4; pp. [10]; green wraps, printed and ruled in orange; illustrated with photographs; very minor wear - in near fine condition. According to a record of the Vermont Sugar-makers' Association Meeting in 1913, the owner of Scotch Mountain Groves in the Western Catskills compiled this little book "for the purpose of advertising" - describing the groves, the evaporator house, the camp for the seasonal workers, the methods used in the production of the company's maple syrup, and above all - "the care and cleanliness used."
