Description
New York: Tin Roof Productions, 1971. Revised First Draft script for the 1974 film, here under the working title "The Welcoming Committee." Copy belonging to an unknown crew member, with their manuscript pencil annotations to three pages, noting substantive revisions. A pitch-black horror-comedy, about a group of lonely retirees who fight back against developers planning to tear down their tenement walk-up in order to build a block of luxury apartment buildings. Shot on location in Cincinnati, Ohio. Blue titled wrappers. Title page present, dated 1971, noted as REVISED FIRST DRAFT, with credits for screenwriters Howard Kaminsky and Bennett B. Sims. 115 leaves, with last page of text numbered 112. Xerographic duplication, rectos only. Pages and wrapper Very Good plus, with light soil to the wrappers and silverfish damage to the first leaf near the binding, bound internally with three gold brads. Nightmare USA.
