The first printing, with "BE-4" on spine. No markings or handwriting within text block. Touch of rubbing along lower edge, otherwise fine. In the publisher's dust jacket, 195/195 on front flap, a few blemishes to cover, bright illustrations, a near fine example. (Mariska, p. 3). This is the first Berenstain Bears book from Bright & Early Books, a division of Random House. Earlier books were printed by Beginner Books Company.

The United Methodist Church of Camden and Rockport was to become John Street United Methodist Church in Camden, Maine. The first page of the cookbook pays trivute to this with an illustration.
