Top edge gilt. 22 cm. Edges rubbed. Scattered foxing. Wood identified Lake Zorkul as the source of the Oxus (Amu Darya River). The first edition (with a somewhat different title) was published in 1841. This Second edition contains a new Preface by the son of the recently-deceased author and "An Essay on the Geography of the Valley of the Oxus," by Henry Yule.
