Description
Reprint Edition from Grosset & Dunlap (ca. 1932); A Very Good book in a Good dust jacket. A handsome copy of this novel, the 2nd in the Charlie Chan series; scarce in this condition, particularly with the original dust jacket. This copy is in very good condition with a square, tight binding, bold black lettering over red boards, and clean, intact pages throughout; the book does show some fading at the spine head, some off-setting to the endpapers, a PO signature to the front pastedown, and some age-spotting to the exterior text block and a few of the pages. Housed in an original, intact good dust jacket that shows a large chip out of the spine head, a large, faint pencil mark to the spine, chipping and creasing to the panel ends and edges, corners, and the flap folds and edges, and some general rubbing and shelf wear to the panels. Overall, a nice book in the original, albeit rough, dust jacket; an affordable, collectible copy for the Chan collector. Not remaindered, not ex-library; in a protective cover and will ship in a sturdy box.
