Description
Tucson, 1996. Good. photos, 16p. 36 cm. Newspaper (tabloid-sized or smaller) format. Horizontal crease where folded. This issue contains three editorial/opinion pieces written by Betty Liggins (1931-2019), identified elsewhere as a Nurse Practitioner who was also a Civil Rights activist and had attended the 1988 Democratic Convention as a Delegate for Jesse Jackson. We couldn't find much online about this publication. This issue reported that the newspaper, published since 1993 as a project of the Pima Prevention Partnership under a grant which was ending, had been purchased by Harold S. Munford, President of H.S.M. and Associates. OCLC locates one holding (Univ. of Ariz.) which appears to have only a few issues, all predating this issue.
