A pitch-black comedy about a washed-up high school history teacher who forms an increasingly desperate vendetta against an overachieving student. Nominated for an Academy Award for Best Screenplay. Set in Omaha, shot on location in Washington DC, in Omaha, Bellevue, LaVista, and Papillon, Nebraska, in Carter Lake, Iowa, and in New York City.
