First Edition of this beautiful monograph on the tree kangaroo, with 16 fine color plates after the well-known natural history artist Frederick W. Frohawk (1861-1946) and 7 black and white photographic plates of Dendrolagus skulls. Rothschild and Dollman's monograph represents the first comprehensive taxonomy of Dendrolagus; it features 14 species from New Guinea and surrounding islands, as well as Lumholtz's tree kangaroo and Bennett's tree kangaroo, both from northern Queensland in Australia. .

A significant and rare Act of the First Congress, extending to all clerks employed in the Treasury Department the prohibitions against conflicts of interest contained in the original statute. The Act also requires employees in other departments to "take an oath or affirmation before" a judge to "support the Constitution of the United States."
