It was built by the Dept. of the Interior for the Salt River Water Users Association to store flood water of the Verde River to render unnecessary the lowering of the reservoir along the Salt River during growing season. The report covers all facets of construction, supply, and planning for the dam from the initial concrete plant through completion. It is thorough and highly detailed.
