Description
San Francisco: Straight Arrow Books, 1973. First Edition. Very Good+/Near Fine. First edition, first printing. Signed by Oscar Zeta Acosta on the front pastedown and inscribed, "For Norm from Oscar of the Old S.F. Ex. Oct' '73 S.F." 258 pp. Bound in publisher's beige cloth decorated in blind and lettered in white on the spine. Very Good+ with light soiling to cloth and minor foxing to bottom edge. Trivial waviness to gatherings throughout. In a Near Fine price-clipped dust jacket with slight wear at extremities and minor rubbing. Small tear to front panel at top edge. The scarce semi-autobiographical Chicano Movement-themed novel signed by Acosta -- familiar to many as Hunter S. Thompson's close friend and attorney in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, "Dr. Gonzo," played by Benicio del Toro in the 1998 film.
