Signed. 8vo.; in printed pink wrappers; [6], 7-128 pages, including the Index of Poems and First Lines; this copy with a personal inscription on the half-title, as well as with a autograph postcard with a lengthy message (for a postcard) signed L. Adams.~~Ms. Adams was born in Brooklyn at the end of 1899.. Her upbringing was quite strict. She showed an independence by the time she was in her twenties, travieling to France where she knew Hilda Doolittle and at least met Gertrude Stein, as well as having an affair with Edmund Wilson.~~Of her poetry she wrote: “My work has been sometimes described as ‘metaphysical’ and sometimes are ‘romantic’. It is perhaps some sort of fusion.”. Very Good binding.
