Description
No place, 1935. String Binding. Very good +. [SCHOOLGIRL MANUSCRIPT]. 4to; [115 leaves]; black construction paper cover decorated with the outline of the state of Maine in white ink; 2 brass grommets through punched holes and blue & white twisted silk cord binding; blue printed lined paper; neat small handwriting in ink; illustrated with small line drawings, pressed plant leaves, clipped souvenir travel brochures, and postcards; laid in folded English III assignment from same schoolgirl dated 1935; light age toning of paper, closed tear to front paper cover; very good plus. A comprehensive and interesting look at the state of Maine with many visuals. Well done by 8th grader, Barbara Edmonds in 1935. Her penmanship is neat, albeit very small, and her review of the state is extensive.
