Boston: George Clark, 1830. Full calf. Very Good. A solid copy of the 1830 1st edition, in its original full calf, with the publisher's dark leather title label along the spine. Tight and VG- to VG, with notable foxing and spotting to the preliminaries and, much less so, throughout the text. All of the 25 engravings --including the dramatic frontispiece-- in place and fully intact. Octavo, 314 pgs. plus "Naval Register for 1815" and the Index at the rear. Small bookplate at the front pastedown of the "Nelson Library Association" of which this copy is numbered 142. (Howes #1080).
