Very Good +
Description
Paris: Presses de la Cite, 1958. Pictorial wrappers. Very Good +. A very pleasing copy of the 1958 1st French edition of this fragile paperback original, with different --but equally striking, equally eroticized-- cover art. Significantly scarcer than the 1951 1st stand alone American edition, the razor-thin "Dell 10 cent" paperback. This French counterpart, more conventionally pocket book-sized, shows a bit of subtle leaning to the spine and a touch of very light creasing at the front panel. Written pseudonymously by the great Cornell Woolrich (1903-1968), a rare highspot of the genre in its 1st French iteration. Presses de la Cite, #446.
