Dating from December of 1954, this assemblage of material is together in a comb binding. It consists of (1) a typed letter from Edwin Conklin from ABC News to O. W. Reigel Curator for the Alfred I. duPont Awards Fellowship at Washington and Lee University, nominating Chet Huntley for the Commentator Award, Radio; (2) a brief statement from Mr. Huntley, signed by him; (3) a black and white publicity photograph of Mr. Huntley; (4) a typed biographical statement with awards; (5) two typscripts of broadcast addresses by Mr. Huntley -- “Liberalism - Davis” and “Responsibility of the President”. Covers are soiled and stained. An interesting period piece about an important broadcast journalist.
