Provo, UT: J.H. Rosengren Art Bazaar, 1908. Large format. Silver gelatin photograph [19.5 cm x 24 cm] / [7.75" x 9.5"] on a gray mount [25 cm x 29.5 cm] / [10" x 11.5"]. Minor dampstaining to rear of mount discoloring to mount and image. Manuscript title with photographer's tag on back. Charming view of a man on the back of a donkey that is wearing overalls and surrounded by a well-dressed crowd, that is posed in front of three train cars. "Tuesday afternoon the druggists made a trip up Provo canyon and enjoyed the scenery and fresh air. The program pulled off consisted of sports of every description. Chicken catching contests, fat mens' races, pulling matches, nail driving contests and other jolly sports. Those winning the prizes were given substantial prizes. A donkey was dressed in overalls and christened the mascot of the crowd.
