I must thank you also for a very kind allusion to myself which I wish I deserved better but which I accept just as cheerfully as if it were my unquestioned due. With fond regards, Yours very truly, Oliver Wendell Holmes. Holmes was a Harvard graduate. The letter is in fine condition and comes with the original mailing envelope.
