The Committee of One Hundred was appointed by the Federal Council of the Churches of Christ in America to plan the religious activities during the Panama-Pacific Exposition in San Francisco in 1915. The project was a vast undertaking of spreading Christian Evangelism and giving notable religious significance to the Exposition. It was said that: "Evil forces will congregate and combine in San Francisco for an extreme onslaught against all things good. They should be more than matched, outgeneraled, and outfought by Christian forces." The book contains a full account of the planning and executing of said religious activities.
