Some plates worn and stained; overall very good example of working notes.
Description
New York: Snakemonkey Studio, N.d.. Some plates worn and stained; overall very good example of working notes.. Archive of 25 pizzeria style paper plates, featuring manuscript notes from legendary underground East Village animator M. Henry Jones, as identified by an opening shot crediting his long-running "Snakemonkey Studios." The prodigious ball point drawings and notations throughout refer variously to the garage rock band The Fleshtones, a long time Jones collaborator, as well as lists describing various props and illustrations needed for a film project (skeletons and go-go girls seemed to factor in heavily). A student of Harry Smith, Jones is credited for his late 1970s music videos and overall underground aesthetic that would be widely co-opted by MTV's early New Wave style.

Description
London: Printed for W. Nicoll, 1764. [47, [1- advt] pp, as issued. Disbound, light dusting, else Very Good. On the dismissal of General Henry Seymour Conway, a distinguished military man and Member of Parliament who had spoken against the Crown's imposition of restrictive measures upon the American Colonies. According to the Dictionary of National Biography, Conway was "dismissed from his offices and employments for opposing George III's arbitrary measures. This pamphlet by Horace Walpole, Conway's close friend and relative, issued in at least four editions during 1764. It argues that Conway "did not deserve Punishment for his late Conduct, nor could apprehend he had such ungenerous Enemies as would add the grossest Abuse to the full Vengeance which Power had given some Men an Opportunity of exercising." ESTC T122493. Sabin 17416 [4th edition].

Description
New York: Atheneum, 2018. First edition. Hardcover. New/new. Kevin Cornell. 178pp. Octavo [23.5]; red paper boards; blind stamp on front board; gilt title on spine. Lulu is getting the sister she never asked for in this hilarious illustrated chapter book filled with hilarious hijinks and fiesty twists from Judith Viorst. Lulu has received the worst. News. EVER. She’s getting…a baby sister. No one ever asked HER opinion on this debacle. But she’ll tell you anyway, because she no how, no way, no thank you wants a sibling. Undeterred, and to prepare Lulu for big sisterhood, her parents bribe—AHEM, ask—Lulu to attend Camp Sisterhood, a.k.a. big sister training camp. As a Sister-in-Training (SIT), Lulu is assigned a variety of temporary little “siblings” who are supposed to be so much fun Lulu will become excited to have a permanent sibling of her own. Well, no one ever said Camp Sisterhood was supposed to teach Lulu how to be a good big sister, so Lulu resolves to be a bad big sister. She insults her little siblings. She taunts them with secrets. She even tricks one of them into carrying both of their backpacks up a mountain! But no matter what Lulu does, she can’t shake the little terrors. Then some BITs (brothers-in-training) from the neighboring Camp Brotherhood start picking on Lulu’s siblings, and Lulu responds by doing her red-faced, steam-coming-out-of-her-ears thing and showing those BITs who’s boss! After all, Lulu’s siblings may be duds, but they’re her duds, and sisters have to stick together. Besides, in the end, Lulu figures that having a little sister probably won’t be as bad as a getting a tooth pulled. Probably. -- from publisher.
