With six color lithographs by Catlett. The 400 copies of this edition were hand-set in Monotype Albertus and printed on 300gm Arches Cover. With prospectus laid in. Original red linen-covered boards. Front board printed in black. Housed in the original black cloth folding case, with leather cover label. Case with some minor smudging. A fine copy. Printed on the 50th anniversary of Walker's first published work, "For My People," Catlett's lithographs illustrate Walker's poem, published in 1942, about African-American life in Chicago.
