Second edition. “These verses were written in India between the years 1881 and 1889, mostly during my researches on malaria.” Titles include Indian fever; Vox clamantis; and Death. Keith (1866-1955) was a Scottish anatomist and physical anthropologist who specialized in the study of fossil man. He was an ardent supporter of evolution, and studied with His, Kastner, Schmidt, and Flechsig in Leipzig. In 1912, he published a paper on the famous Piltdown skull which he believed was an early example of Homo sapiens, but after much controversy, was shown to have been fraudulently fabricated. BMC, XXI, 514 (1st ed.).
