Small octavo (7 1/4 x 4 3/4 inches; 185 x 120 mm). [12], 264, [1]-11, [9] pp. Text in Hebrew and German. We could find no copies at auction on Rare Book Hub. Publisher's original brown cloth. Boards ruled and stamped in blind. Spine lettered in blind. Spine lightly sunned. Some minor wear to boards. Endpapers toned from glue. Some occasional light foxing and a few pages with a small dampstain to upper margin. Previous owner's old ink neat inscription of J. S. Wasserman on front free endpaper. Overall a very good copy. A Hebrew and German book of "Prayers For Domestic Worship" including a Hagadah, selections From Pirkei Avoth, prayers for women and children, private devotional prayers for various occasions, calendar and other matters. "Benjamin Szold was born in Hungary in 1829. After becoming a rabbi, Szold led Congregation Oheb Shalom in Baltimore, shaping it into a leading U.S. congregation. Szold was a Zionist, communal leader, and Hebraist. He was the father of Henrietta Szold, herself a leading Zionist. Benjamin Szold died in 1902." (The American Jewish Archives). Goldman 54.
