Description
Pasadena, California: Login Printing & Binding Co, 1940. Wraps. Stapled. Near Fine. Photographs of the spectacular parade, with 12 pages of large colorized photos of the flower-bedecked floats for which the parade is most famous for, generally a single such photo on the page. Plus a brilliantly colored drawn illustration on the cover capturing the joyful spirit of the parade. Seldom does one encounter this publication with its decorative mailing envelope. Large 4to, 30 by 22.5 cm. 36 pp. (Pagination ends at 33; since front cover counted in pagination, we are counting the un-paginated pages at the end, including rear cover.) Mailing envelope slightly larger, so the publication could be sent laying flat. Comparatively few pages of ads, although two full page color ads are befitting the publication, we think. The many pages of b/w photos can have two to over a dozen photos arranged in various ways. Also a page on the parade administration or organization, and of course, a page on the Rose Bowl. Light wear. The mailing envelope age toned and slightly more wear, but it too is very well preserved.
