New York: Orange Judd Company, 1915. Octavo in wrappers (18.5 x 12.5 cm.), 69, [7] pages. Advertisements. Illustrated in the text. Later printing; originally published by Orange Judd in 1885. The classic guide for growing peanuts (arachis hypogaea), with instructions on the plant's uses for oil and food products. included are a few recipes for peanut oil, peanut coffee, peanut candy, and peanut soap. The author, B.W. Jones, of Warren Place, Surrey County, Virginia, was a peanut farmer and contributor of articles to the American Nut Journal. Internally clean and sound. In publisher's pale yellow wrappers, titled and decorated in black. Small chip to the spine panel, and smaller chips to the wrapper edges, with some soil and creasing. Near very good.
