Description
Printed on recto only. Thick paper postcard, mailed. Genoa: Salvatore Ala, 1977. Invitation to Merz’s 1977 show with Salvatore Ala (1941-2014). Ala founded his gallery in Milan in 1974 and hosted exhibitions for Boetti, Kounellis, and a number of Arte Povera artists. Keith Haring’s first Milan exhibition was held at Ala’s gallery. This example of the postcard invitation is particularly interesting because it was mailed to another important art dealer of the period, John Weber. Fine. Mailed to John Weber.
