Description
(New York): Extensions, 1968. Softcover. Very Good. Inaugural issue. Octavo. 96pp. Stapled wrappers lightly tanned with a bit of light foxing and discoloration, nicks at the spine ends, very good or better. Poet Clark Coolidge's copy, with a Typed Note Signed to him from co-editor Joachim Neugroschel, requesting a poem for the journal—actually, to use his words, "bribing you with a sonnet about your poems, in order to ask you to send us some... ." The typed poem, "Sonnet for Clark Coolidge," is also laid in. A nice association, and the gambit worked: Coolidge contributed to *Extensions* 4. Additional contributions by George Schneeman and Ron Padgett, Hugh Seidman, Vito Ancucci, and others.
