Description
Sticker version of an iconic AIDS activist graphic produced by Gran Fury for ACT UP/ New York in 1988: a bloody red handprint accompanied by forceful texts blaming government inaction for the deadly toll of the AIDS crisis. The strip of three crack-and-peel stickers offered here tells a particularly poignant story: Each graphic is revised in marker pen to reflect the tripling of the death rate by 1990, changing "One AIDS Death Every Half Hour" to "Three AIDS Deaths Every Half Hour." As noted in a June 21, 1990, story in The New York Times, the marked-up version was distributed by protestors at the massive demonstrations held in conjunction with the Sixth International Conference on AIDS in San Francisco in June 1990. CONDITION: Minor yellowing to margins of backing; stickers detaching slightly from backing; each sticker hand revised in black and dark-blue marker.

Description
San Francisco: Progressive Motion Picture Co, 1914. First Edition Thus. Pamphlet. Near fine. Silent film program for John Barleycorn, a lost film directed and adapted for the screen by Hobart Bosworth.. Single folded sheet, black and white printing. Creases where previously folded into thirds. A near fine example. John Barleycorn, originally an autobiographical novel written by Jack London in 1913, was adapted into a silent film in 1914. It portrayed London's journey with alcoholism and sobriety. The film has been "lost" for decades, meaning that there is no present day record of it in any studio archive, public archive, private collection, or in the Library of Congress. (AFI).
