Description
Oxford: Oxford Univ. Exploration Club by the Oxford University Press, 1960. First Edition.. Original publisher's yellow cloth.. Very good. This is the OUP's own copy of record. It has a call number on the spine that was the house location number.. Royal 8vo, vii pp. + frontispiece halftone of Harp Cove + 22 individual offprints from various journals. The OUP printed the title, preface, and then bound up the offprints as the "text". As a result, the publisher purchased a number of copies of each of the offprints that make up the text. It is doubtful if more than 100 copies were produced. An account of what, in the record, was the first visit to Akpatok Island. The Great Depression and WWII delayed the publication. All the offprints in the volume date from 1931 - 1935.
