Description
Geffen Pictures. Softcover/Paperback. Just About Fine. Los Angeles: Geffen Pictures, 1993. Vintage original film script, 11 x 8 1/2" (29 x 22 cm), plain wrappers, brad bound, 131 pp. Title in ink on spine. Title page credits screenplay to Neil Jordan and Anne Rice and is designated as FINAL DRAFT dated June 21, 1993. An additional title page on goldenrod paper is dated October 13, 1993. Most of the script is on white paper and represents the June 21 draft, running up through page 9. Pages 9-13, 13a are on goldenrod paper. Page 13a has printed notation "CONTINUED ON PAGE 14" at bottom. White paper script continues on page 14 through to the end, and there is no break in continuity of dialogue. Overall just about fine. Interview with the Vampire starred Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. It focuses on Lestat (Cruise) and Louis (Pitt), beginning with Louis' transformation into a vampire by Lestat in 1791. The film chronicles their time together, and their turning of young Claudia (Kirsten Dunst) into a vampire. The narrative is framed by a modern-day interview, in which Louis tells his story to a San Francisco reporter (Christian Slater). The supporting cast features Antonio Banderas and Stephen Rea. N.d., circa 1900. Each measuring 6.5 by 5 cm. Petrified wood with green, crimson, orange, brown striations. Indentations on spine to suggest bands. Sides dark brown, to simulate appearance of actual books. The three are essentially identical, with differences only because of the quirks of the stone tree rings.
