1974. London: Trianon Press, 1974. Folio, 25 color plates, 8 proofs, and commentary at the end. Original quarter brown morocco, slipcase, fine. § Limited to 500 copies, of which this is No. 289. Jerusalem is the longest of Blake's prophetic books and tells of the fall of Albion, Blake's embodiment of man, or the Western World. This is the facsimile of Lord Cunliffe's copy and Kerrison Preston's proofs; the coloring differs markedly from the Stirling copy also published in facsimile by Trianon. "The long list of color facsimiles produced by the Trianon Press under Arnold Fawcus for the William Blake Trust were above all objects of beauty, recreating as near to perfection as possible Blake's original achievements." (Martin Butlin) Bentley, Blake Books, A82.

About very good.
Description
Los Angeles, 1929. About very good.. 106,[1]pp. Small octavo. Original printed wrappers. Some chipping at spine ends, otherwise minor wear to wraps. Light toning internally. A scarce Spanish-language translation, published in Los Angeles, of a tract on the nature of the Holy Spirit by James H. McConkey, Baptist teacher and prolific writer on spirituality. McConkey graduated Princeton in 1880 and attended law school, but soon dedicated his life to the Baptist ministry and worked as a religious teacher at YMCAs in southeastern Pennsylvania until his death in 1937. The sections of the present work consider the "Three-fold Secret of the Holy Spirit" -- the ways to bring about its arrival, its fulfillment, and its regular reappearance. The English-language text is considered a classic of spiritual literature, and had seen well over 400,000 copies printed from its original publication in 1897 through the early-20th century, but we locate no copies of this 1929 Spanish-language edition.

Description
[Salt Lake City]: Feelgood Productions, 1991. Color poster [57 cm x 38 cm] / [22.5" x 15"] Small pin hole at head with a bump to the lower border. Bright. Charming poster for the legendary ski area in Little Cottonwood. Planning for the ski area that was to become known as Snowbird began operation in 1967. By 1971, former Alta employee, Ted Johnson, and Texas oilman and rancher, Dick Bass partnered to open a second ski area in Little Cottonwood, Snowbird. When it opened, Snowbird consisted of one lodge and three restaurants. Ski runs were reached by the Snowbird Tram, which still takes skiers to the top of 11,000 foot Hidden Peak, and three chairlifts, the Wilbere, Gad I and Gad II, named for Gad Valley. Since then a number of new lifts have been added, as well as many more condominium lodges, restaurants, and other amenities. From the earliest days, Snowbird was planned to be a summer resort as well, offering tennis courts, hiking and mountain biking, the annual Oktoberfest, the Snowbird Institute, and many other features. The Bird is known the world over for deep powder and steep terrain.

Description
Madison, WI: David Fine Freedom Committee, [197-]. Poster. 17x22.5 inch poster, neatly creased from having been folded into quarters. Formerly from the collection of J. Wesley Miller, with his penned signature on the blank verso. This example has a purplish "sun" motif in the sky that is absent from the version at the Wisconsin Historical Society. The printing is generally a bit clumsy; it may have been some sort of trial variant. David Fine was one of the bombers who targeted the Army Math Research Center (AMRC) at UW-Madison in 1970 to protest the Vietnam War. The poem begins, "They call it terror / if you are few / and have no B-52's...

Description
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. No binding. Near Fine. [Los Angeles: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, 1939]. Vintage original 4 1/2 x 6 3/4" (12 x 22 cm.) black-and-white glossy silver gelatin photo, with blank margins around, mimeographed text and date stamp on verso. A few tiny tears at the very top middle blank white margin, near fine. The still photography released for the "fight" sequence between Rosalind Russell and Paulette Goddard appear to have been made while the actresses were enacting the scene. Typically, still photographs are posed and taken after the director, motion picture cameraman and crew have finished the last take, to represent the action and the story. For this series of photos -- which the original typed blurb on the verso describes as "the feminine battle of the century" -- the ladies appear to give it the full action. In image coded 1091-152 the battle is about to start as Russell and Goddard insult each other. Norma Shearer attempts to hold Russell back. Joan Fontaine and Mary Boland register great surprise. Director George Cukor let his star actresses go to town in this battle.
