Original speckled calf, raised bands; rebacked, gilt-stamped brown cloth spine label. PROVENANCE: Katharine Phillips, her book, 1682, with her initials added to the title-page. Very good. First printed in 1678. Richard Allestree was an English Royalist churchman and provost of Eton College from 1665. CONTENTS: Section I.
